sooo, it’s over…kind of sort of…but not really…i’m still processing all that has taken place in the past month and especially yesterday as we gathered to worship ONE God, with ONE Voice, on ONE Night…
i’m not going to lie, there was a lot ton of work involved…and i’m sure that there are more than enough people annoyed with me at constantly asking for equipment…time…finances…TIME…and more equipment…but i needed every last bit of help that i could get…and i’m amazed at how God was able to pull everything together…in the end the entire thing cost less than $300…there were printing costs, the sound system, and a CCLI Event License…that was it!!!
i put together a 19 song setlist…NINETEEN…and had no clue if there would even be 19 people that would show up…but everyone pulled it together…no, GOD pulled it together…and i can say with confidence that we all gave it everything we had…
in the end somewhere around 350 people showed up to worship…with the exception of a few blunders on my part, i was able to worship freely in a way that i haven’t in a while…it was awesome to simply be a part of whatever God was doing…and He was doing something…as of this morning there was a total of $3,870.00 raised for Royal Family Kids Camp of Allen Co…i’m told that is the largest single donation ever for them…GOD is sooo good!!!
but just in case i tried to take some credit…or get a little prideful…molly had to give me her critique of the evening…”good job daddy. why did you sing so long?”…she even asked me that again this morning when she woke up…NICE!!!

HUGE thanks to everyone that helped out…to the band…to the singers…to all of the techies…to the UNOH Event Center…and to ALL who gave to Royal Family…i am truly amazed and encouraged to look back and see what God has done!!!

Thanks Jon, for helping to pull together this awesome night of praise and worship! Grab some bean, take a break. But, you know you’ll want to do this again. And there will be even more people coming out for the next one, as we cannot get enough of totally unrestrained worship.

The afterglow from last evening’s praise and worship is still with me on Monday afternoon. To see so many people, from different churches, joined in worship together – some in the seats, others almost bouncing off the floor – shows that we can worship our God as one church. Thanks for helping to pull down the artificial walls that have separated believers for too long.
