soo0 i have now been away from leading worship…and all most of the work that goes into it…for FOUR STRAIGHT WEEKS…i have still done some scheduling and fielded questions when needed…but i have really tried to just not think about it at all…i’ve even left my blog high and dry all month…not because i don’t love it…not because i don’t love the church…not because i don’t love the volunteers i work with…BUT because i LOVE my family and needed time with them…not to mention just needing some time to rest…and can i say…
it’s been GREAT!!!
i have been able to spend sooo much time with my family…not just being with them physically, but to be there mentally as well…normally i come home from work and have to either be at the church or i’m focusing my mind on things i can get done from home…now i’m working on finding a balance and how i can have more time with my family, even when i am leading and working for the church too…
we’ve been able to take short trips to visit with friends around the state…we’ve been able to visit other churches and just see how they do things…we’ve done a lot of playing…we’ve been a lot of laughing…and i’ve been able to see my children change sooo much it’s not funny!!!
BUT i can’t get rid of that desire to be leading people…to assist them in experiencing a Heavenly Father…His mercy…His grace…His love…His glory…HIM!!!
i’m savoring this last weekend away…all the while kicking it into HIGH gear as i start preparing for february…i’m ready to get back in the trenches and do what God has created and gifted me to do…i get JACKED just thinking about what God has in store for lima community church!!!
i can’t say thank you enough to those who have stepped in and done an amazing job of leading…i pray that the Lord blesses them beyond anything they can imagine…because my time away with my family…
