sooo, this is another post submitted as a part of the craziness over on fred’s blog…it’s a weekly hot spot for worship leaders to blog about what all happened in their weekend services…GO CHECK IT OUT!!!
i was back in the LIVE services of lima community church…it was my first week back since we did things a little different…i have to say that two full weekends away, was nice…especially with having a week off from my full-time job!!!
but i was back at it…here we go…
we started the services off with our video announcements and a short “meet and greet” time…
1. here is our King…by david crowder
2. marvelous light…by charlie hall
then the host of the services came up and set up communion…the elements were passed…
3. Jesus paid it all…as performed by kristian stanfill
then the host came back up and everyone took of the elements together…
4. Jesus paid it all…we just did one chorus and ended the song with the six consecutive bridges…
5. how great is our God…by chris tomlin
our host then came back up and set up the offering time…also announced the start of a new video venue service next week…our “new traditions” venue…
6. arms open wide…by hillsong united
then we had our message given by the northwest ohio district superintendant for the church of the nazerene, rev. d. geoffrey kunselman…it was a message on being filled with God’s love and then in turn pouring it out of our lives…
7. amazed…by lincoln brewster

sooo, this weekend was good…it was a little rough, for whatever reason, to get back into the groove…but once rehearsal started saturday afternoon, things were rolling…we got the music ready in good time…we had some quality devotion/discussion time on a couple verses in colossians 4…
the services all went smoothe, other than a minor glitch on saturday night…the host never left the stage after setting up communion…he actually stood right next to my mic…so i wasn’t able to start the song…we rolled with it and just started the song after we took the elements…i played through the whole time and cut a verse on the fly…the band and tech people did a great job of sticking with me…
overall it was a good weekend and good to get back at it…i’m excited to see what God has in store in the coming weeks!!!
sooo there you have it…
sunday setlists…LIVE…take fifteen…
so good to have ya back, I thought the superintendent was a really good speaker, I really enjoyed his talk about God’s love, how awesome… Music was good, love your two other vocalist with you, makes a wonderful trio, all in all I thought it was a ten for the Sunday service,
