sooo, this is another post submitted as a part of the craziness over on fred’s blog…it’s a weekly hot spot for worship leaders to blog about what all happened in their weekend services…GO CHECK IT OUT!!!
i was back for week thirteen in the LIVE services of lima community church…i’m late, but here we go…
1. Hosanna…as performed by starfield
2. awesome is the Lord most high…by passion
then we had an open mic testimony time in each service…people were encouraged to share what God had done/was doing in their lives…and then the service host set up communion time (saturday night – john zerbe, venue pastor…sunday morning – vince nelson, executive pastor)
3. sweetly broken…by jeremy riddle
4. Jesus Messiah…by chris tomlin
then the service host came up and set the video anouncements and our offering time…
5. reign in us…by by starfield
then our lead worship pastor, tim thurston, came up and gave our message…it was week six of our series “life verses”…tim’s main passage was ephesians 4:11-13…at the end of his message i came out and played a pad behind him…he set up a ministry/reflection time…

sooo, this past weekend continued a trend…it was VERY powerful…the open mic time was good…i enjoy hearing what God is doing in the lives of people…the message was stepping on some toes…that’s always good…people were challenged to get involved and do what they are gifted to do…the focus being that it’s not just the “full-time staff” that need to be doing ministry…
overall musically it was a good weekend…we had our work cut out for us with communion and when to stop and start the song…but the band followed me quite well…each service was different…we even had some kick butt three part harmony on a couple tunes…we had four vocalists total and they each added small parts here and there that made a big impact…
i’m excited to see what God has in store for us at lima community church…something is definitely brewing…and it’s not my favorite bean…
