sooo, this is another post submitted as a part of the craziness over on fred’s blog…it’s a weekly hot spot for worship leaders to blog about what all happened in their weekend services…this is the ONE YEAR anniversary for the craziness…i can’t believe it’s been a year already…GO CHECK IT OUT!!!
i was back for week twelve in the LIVE services of lima community church…so here we go…
right off the bat i welcomed everyone and read romans 6:5-7…while the band was vamping on the intro of the first song…
1. i am free…by ross parsley
2. everyday…by lincoln brewster
3. for Your name…by desperation band
4. from the inside out…by hillsong united
at this point i prayed and our journey group pastor, brian romine, came up…he did a great job of talking us through a short video of last week’s 9am service…of how God provided and how we really didn’t need a building with electricity to hold church…he also set up the offering time…
5. Jesus Messiah…by chris tomlin
then we had week five of our series “life verses”…we had a guest speaker, jeff…VERY POWERFUL message this week (i will get a link to the podcast as soon as it’s up!) right out of ephesians 2:1-10…
saturday night we closed out with a reprise of “i am free”…but once i heard the message i consulted with a few other leaders and we made some changes…we put a ministry time at the end of the message…this mean changing the final song…

WOW!!! let’s just say that God was takin’ care of business this weekend at lima community church…in my opinion the message could not have fit any better with the music…jeff spoke with some crazy boldness and the Holy Spirit had free reign…he was calling out the dead people in the congregation to come to life…he was calling out the people who had life, but also had some dead areas in their life to get rid of…
musically we had some issues…there were kinks that got worked out…some of which we didn’t have time to work on all that much…but God once again proved to be SO MUCH BIGGER than any issues we had…
in fact i can say with confidence that i’ve never been a part of a service where i could see God working like i did in our 10:45am service on sunday…i could sense from the start that people were ready to encounter God… that sense got stronger as the service went on…and then when we did our final song…WOW…i had to keep my eyes closed just so i could stay focused and not lose it…God was takin’ care of business and i’m just thankful to have been a part of it!!!
sooo there you have it…
sunday setlists…LIVE…take twelve…
CONGRATS to fred on his one year anniversary on the sunday setlists…i have definitely enjoyed taking part!!!
