sooo, it’s been a while…but things seem to be getting back in a groove this morning…i’m back to something that resembles a normal schedule…i made a fresh pot of bean and headed out the door this morning…not before studying and being challenged slapped upside the head with something…
i was finishing up the book of nehemiah this morning…GREAT BOOK…reading chapter 13…
i’m seeing how he is coming back once again to jerusalem and trying to make the needed changes…he doesn’t want anything in between God and His people…and then i got to verse 30…
30 So I purged out everything foreign and assigned tasks to the priests and Levites, making certain that each knew his work. (NLT)
really i only got through the first six words of that verse and was hit hard…i had to stop and ask God to show me “everything foreign” in my life…to show me anything and everything that was standing between me and Him…and i had to get rid of…
EVERYTHING foreign…
not just the REALLY bad things…or the things that REALLY weren’t that big of a deal…not just the things that were blatantly obvious…i had to sit and be quiet…i had to allow God to speak to me…and i had to get rid of…

i challenge you today to set aside five…ten…fifteen minutes and ask God to reveal to you anything and everything that is standing between you and Him…and then to get rid of…

That is right on! I will do so today. I didn’t get my time with God before the wild indians woke up early. It’s just the most important part of the day!
