sooo here we go again…this is another post submitted as a part of the craziness over on fred’s blog…it’s a weekly hot spot for worship leaders to blog about what all happened in their weekend services…go check it out!!!
this post is in regards to the happenings of the source this past weekend…so here we go…
1. tell the world…by hillsong united
then we had our video announcements and i did a welcome/prayer time…
2. marvelous light…by charlie hall
3. reign in us…by starfield
next came our offering set up and introduction of our faith promise weekend…this weekend is set aside each year for missions giving…
4. go tell it…by lee mcderment
then we had our weekly coffee break…and the video message was given by our guest speaker, doug carter…during this video feed our head pastor also came up and set up a missions video and set up the pledge cards…
5. set the world on fire…by britt nicole (done with a click track and video put together by our staff)
WOW…time change for us here in ohio, sooo we lost an hour of sleep…in addition to that we had a torrential downpour for most of the day sunday…that being said the numbers were down as was the energy…i made a coffee run early sunday and brought in coffee for everyone, in an effort to counter the loss of sleep…
the service went well though…with a guest speaker and extra videos, i wasn’t sure how things were going to work out…but God is still God and worked things out…i have gotten numerous compliments on “go tell it”…GREAT tune by lee mcderment, worship leader at newspring…you can purchase the song on i-tunes…
all things considered, it was a good week in the source…i was coming back from a week off…it was great to be back and leading…
sooo there you have it…
sunday setlists…take twenty-six…
Jon Mark, I have to admit that I don’t know any of the songs in your Sunday list. I also didn’t know that somebody else had written a song called “Set The World On Fire.” Bo and I wrote a song of that title a couple of years ago while we were at Bellevue Gospel Chapel on a week when a Chinese missionary was visiting.
We try to stay true to the original artist keys as much as possible. As a keyboardist, I can transpose at the touch of a button, but it’s a lot more difficult for our guitarists! It’s easier on everyone if they have a recording that they can practice with at home, and changing keys complicates that a lot!
Blessings,
B.J.
Reign in us! I love that song.
