i’m in…i’m in!!!

pure praise

sooo, this coming monday…1/12/09…there is something really cool starting up that i wanted to let you know about…it’s a 9 week personal study, about worship…and since i am far really far from knowing everything there is to know about worship, i got a little interested…then i saw how people from all over will be able to go through the book and then share online about what God is doing through the study…

sooo,  i ordered the book yesterday…and downloaded the free chapter they are offering at next level worship…hopefully that will allow me to get started if the book doesn’t arrive by monday…i’m excited to see how God wants to use this!!!

i’m in…i’m in!!!

***i found this through the worship community ***

what do you know about dreams???

question-mark

sooo, i’m back to planning out some music to use for our next sermon series…and the last time i looked for help on my blog…you came through BIG TIME…sooo, i’m going to try this again…

the series is going to be focusing on the life of Joseph…and carrying a theme of “dream”…with a little help from this guy…i’ve come up with this list of songs…let me know if you have any other ideas me…

1. Dreams…by Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks

2. Higher…by Creed

3. These Dreams…by Heart

4. Dream On…by Aerosmith

5. I’ll See You in My Dreams…by Giant

ohhh, the 80′s…

sooo, let’s hear it…

what do you know about dreams???

sunday setlists…saturday night style…

cropped-leading-worship.jpg

sooo, this morning i am participating in the excitement over on fred’s blog…it’s a community of worship leaders sharing what their weekend service consisted of…go check it out!!!

this past weekend i was scheduled off in the source…but i ended up leading for our saturday night service…i was working with some people i had not worked with in quite some time…some that i had never worked with…it was a blast!!!

sooo here goes nothing…

sunday setlists…saturday night style…

1. let the praises ring…by lincoln brewster

a short meet and greet for the congregation…while mp3′s were played…

2. everlasting God…as performed by lincoln brewster

3. holy is the Lord…by chris tomlin

then we went into a time of communion…this was set up by our connections pastor at lima cc, brandon williams…

4. holy, holy, holy…by john bacchus dykes and reginald heber (the hymn)

we took the elements of communion together…

5. holy is the Lord (reprise)…by chris tomlin

then we had our “60 second” announcements, which were only 30 seconds long…makes sense to me??? and that led into our offering…

6. give You glory…by jeremy camp

we had a 15 second roll-in for the message…our connections pastor was speaking live…the focus of the service was on asking and expecting the Holy Spirit to be living and active in our lives…

7. amazed…by lincoln brewster (chorus…bridge…chorus)

it was a different weekend, as i did not pick out the music…i was playing acoustic and then piano and then just singing…fun times…i was only filling in for that service and the band had a different worship leader for sunday morning…so there was a sense of uncertainty on how songs were going to go sunday, in comparison to how i was doing them…then there was a last minute addition of a song at the end of the service…it was great for me, because i knew that the Holy Spirit was going to have to lead us all through it…and He did!!!

sooo, there you have it…

sunday setlists…saturday night style…

a sunday off!!!

sunday-off

sooo, here i am on a sunday morning…at home…this is my first “week off” in months…and i must say it’s quite nice…molly and daddy started our morning at 6:15am with some toons and breakfast (with mommy, before she headed off to work)…ever since we’ve been playing and cleaning and playing and cleaning…i even took these pics of molly in action…
