sunday setlists…saturday night style…

sooo, this morning i am participating in the excitement over on fred’s blog…it’s a community of worship leaders sharing what their weekend service consisted of…go check it out!!!

this past weekend i was scheduled off in the source…but i ended up leading for our saturday night service…i was working with some people i had not worked with in quite some time…some that i had never worked with…it was a blast!!!

sooo here goes nothing…

sunday setlists…saturday night style…

1. let the praises ring…by lincoln brewster

a short meet and greet for the congregation…while mp3′s were played…

2. everlasting God…as performed by lincoln brewster

3. holy is the Lord…by chris tomlin

then we went into a time of communion…this was set up by our connections pastor at lima cc, brandon williams…

4. holy, holy, holy…by john bacchus dykes and reginald heber (the hymn)

we took the elements of communion together…

5. holy is the Lord (reprise)…by chris tomlin

then we had our “60 second” announcements, which were only 30 seconds long…makes sense to me??? and that led into our offering…

6. give You glory…by jeremy camp

we had a 15 second roll-in for the message…our connections pastor was speaking live…the focus of the service was on asking and expecting the Holy Spirit to be living and active in our lives…

7. amazed…by lincoln brewster (chorus…bridge…chorus)

it was a different weekend, as i did not pick out the music…i was playing acoustic and then piano and then just singing…fun times…i was only filling in for that service and the band had a different worship leader for sunday morning…so there was a sense of uncertainty on how songs were going to go sunday, in comparison to how i was doing them…then there was a last minute addition of a song at the end of the service…it was great for me, because i knew that the Holy Spirit was going to have to lead us all through it…and He did!!!

sooo, there you have it…

  1. Someone needs to listen to other worship artists besides Lincoln Brewster….oops did I just say that?

Sounds like it was a great service.

  2. Love your communion section.

  3. @JZ…ummmm, ouch!!! make sure you read that i did not put the setlist together…however i did add “amazed” at the end of the service…it was a last minute thing…

  4. Yes I know you didn’t put it together!!! LOL

  5. It’s cool. I very often end up with nothing but Paul Baloche songs…

  6. We’ve done entire sets of Delirious in the past. We try to do Everlasting God a bit laid back, but it never works out that way. We end up rocking out every time.

  7. Jennifer Griffin

We do Everlasting God alot! I love it! I love that Jeremy Camp song…hmm..I’ll have to suggest it!

At LP we love Fee songs…gets us hopping! We Shine is a new favorite! F-A-S-T!!!

  8. “Amazed” I haven’t heard that one in a while!Good song! We have had sets where the music is all by the same couple of artists. Sometimes it just works out that way.
