sooo, things seem a little different this Christmas…our economy is in a state that i can’t recall at any point in my life time…that being said, kasey and i have really made an effort to be better stewards of what God has blessed us with…we have made extra efforts to buy gifts that are more practical this year…we’ve shopped with coupons and online discounts as much as possible…and we’ve set limits, especially on what we buy each other…
then i received this video by e-mail one day…it was very challenging…and then i saw it again in the Kidstuff Family Christmas Show…and so I would like to share it with you…it’s from an organization/movement called advent conspiracy…

brent and i have a small budget for each other. if it werent for a first time big bonus he received, the kid wouldnt be getting gifts.
we talked to the kids a month ago about advent conspiracy and soles4souls and our involvement in these things they were so excited and on board.
i think this year has changed a lot for a majority of people. as hard as times are right now…we needed this. we need to get back to simplicity. we’ve become way too much of an instant gratification, i need it now, i deserve it now society.

i would have to agree…we all needed this!!! molly is on board with us too…but she’s only 20 months old…the hard part is holding the grandparents to a limit!!!
