sunday setlists…take ten…

sooo, last week i was off and got to just go sit through a church service with my family…that was actually a nice little change in scenery for me…but i was back at it this weekend, so i am here to contribute to the activity on fred’s blog…the following is our setlist for the source at lima community church

pre/post service and coffee break music was the album “we shine” by fee

1. everlasting God…by lincoln brewster

then communion was set up by the venue pastor

2. nothing but the blood…by matt redman

3. how great is our God…by chris tomlin

then communion was wrapped up and a sort of ministry/celebration time was set up…

4. Jesus paid it all…as performed by kristian stanfill

then we went into our announcements, offering, and the weekly coffee break…that rolled right into the message video…people were dismissed and we reprised everlasting God…

things in the service have seemed to hit a little bit of a “slump”…for a lack of better terms…there has just been a lack of energy and response…so we tried something this week…we took the cage off the drum set and livened things up a bit…it did create issues with the band being able to hear things, but we managed…and there was a noticeable difference in energy…can’t say that it was due to the change, but…? i did like the look of the stage much better without the cage around the drums!!!

cool little tid-bit of information about the service…we receive our donuts froma local bakery…they are leftovers from the day before, so we never know how many, if any, we are going to get…we had an over abundance of them yesterday…then we ended up having and over abundance of people…small but cool detail that God worked out…
