i just saved a ton of money…and it wasn’t on car insurance!!!

sooo, to those of you who have been around this blog for awhile…or know me rather well…you know that i am a father…and to make a long story short…there was a rather lengthy process of prayer, doctors, medications, and well you know…but after a little over two and a half years kasey and i were able to conceive…and along came molly!!! (not to be confused with the movie about polly…)

after molly was born we were not sure what to do exactly…we knew that we both wanted to have more children, but not right away…and we weren’t sure if we would have to go through the whole process of doctors and medicine all over again…after about a year, we decided to set up and appointment with the specialist that we had seen for molly and ask him what to do…that was little over a month ago…

basically we were set up with the same medications…the first of which did not work…

sooo, we were given a script for the series of shots that were similar to those kasey took a couple years ago…pricetag…$1,200.00…we decided that we would start saving up for them and as soon as we had the money together we would order them…the doctor’s office would call every other week to see where we were at with the whole thing…

about a week ago i was at the church at 3:30am helping with angelfood ministries…then i went went out to breakfast with the guys to refuel from all of our work…or for waking up so early!?! when i got home kasey was acting a little strange…after a few minutes of being home i asked her if there was something wrong…she said, “well aren’t you going to go back to the bathroom”…being the man that i am, i thought about how i didn’t really need to go…but then this light turned on in my head…sure enough she had taken a “test” and she “passed” it!!!

kasey set up an appointment with the doctor…long story short, once again…we saw little mckanna #2 today for the first time…little mckanna #2 is eleven weeks and four days old according to the nurse…can i just say that GOD IS AWESOME!!! YES i can because this is my blog…HE IS AWESOME!!! if your math and reading retention are good, you will know that kasey was expecting when we went to the specialist…all the while God was sitting up on the throne smiling from the east to the west…

so today is a great day…as are all the others…but i’m going crazy today…i absolutely love being a parent…all of the joy that it brings to live…all of the lessons that God is teaching me…and the countless ways that God has blessed me through molly…i can’t really put it into words…now it’s going to be doubled!!! anywho…i should stop now…

the least of my excitement is because…

i just saved a ton of money…and it wasn’t on car insurance!!!

  6. Kathy MacDonald says:

    Psalm 127
A song of ascents. Of Solomon.
1 Unless the LORD builds the house,
    its builders labor in vain.
Unless the LORD watches over the city,
the watchmen stand guard in vain.
2 In vain you rise early
    and stay up late,
    toiling for food to eat—
for he grants sleep to [a] those he loves.

3 Sons are a heritage from the LORD,
    children a reward from him.

4 Like arrows in the hands of a warrior
are sons born in one’s youth.

    5 Blessed is the man
whose quiver is full of them.
They will not be put to shame
when they contend with their enemies in the gate.

What a joy to share in the delight of your quiver!!!

You probably already know the tears are flowing, but oh well, that’s just the Nana in me!!! My heart is overflowing with joy and thankfulness. God is amazing!!! I am so happy for you and Kasey and so proud at watching how you are with Molly and can’t wait to see that multiplied.
