sooo, i’ve made it to my third week in a row of participating in the sunday setlists that was started by this guy…it’s been great to visit the sites of various worship leaders that post their setlist and describe how the service went…some are much more high tech than me and even put together videos…so make sure you stop over and check it out…
sooo, here you have it the source, sunday setlist…
1. Tell the World…by Hillsong United
2. Hosanna…by Starfield
3. Holy is the Lord…by Chris Tomlin
4. Healer…as performed by Hillsong United
at this point we took our weekly coffee break and went to the video message…
5. center…as performed by Charlie Hall
there was a short wrap-up done by the venue pastor and then a prayer for all the educators and school staff as they are heading back to school this week…after everyone watched our video announcements and a short video on the 201 backpacks that our children purchased and filled for local students in need…they were dismissed and we played a reprise of Tell the World…
as i was telling everyone in my post on friday…i had a crazy week last week and was totally relying on God to get me through the service today!!! WOW, did He ever!!! i have to say everything came together so quickly we had 20 minutes “to spare”…but we needed those 20 minutes to fix some issues with the lighting and light board…God knew what He was doing…we got to the final song, Healer, and the congregation really bought in…it was only the second time singing this song and people were giving it everything they had…when we finished everyone was clapping and praising God (not typical of the service at all) so we went back through the chorus one time with just the acoustic guitar…
i would have to say that this setlist came together better than any others for probably a month or better…God is Good!!!
sooo, there you have it…
sunday setlists…take four…
Hey,
So you did go w/ Healer … I think that’s great. It’s still a great song, despite the scandal that now engulfs the author.
I’m desiring to do this song on Sept 7, still taking with our leadership about it, and whether or not it’s the right thing for US to do … but I hope it works out!
Thanks for being a part of Sunday Setlists each week!

Does anyone at your church know the mess with “Healer”. I’ve told as few people as possible, because our church really connected with that song, and I’d like to continue to use it.
i did not think anyone in our church would really know about Healer, because when we did it the first time i did not give any background to the song…so during our “tech meeting” before the service i let the band and tech people know…no one in the band or tech knew about the background or the scandal, they just knew it was an awesome song with a message that we all needed…i’m confident that even if someone in the service knew, it would not be an issue…
thanks for stopping buy guys!!!
I truly believe that God uses words and songs even when there may be scandals involved. This song touches so many people…even if it was a lie, it is doing its thing.
Sounds like an awesome set. Wish I was there to be apart of it all.
Praying for you all today.
Nice to see peeps keeping Healer in the mix and not dumping it like a leprous vagabond.
The whole Healer thing will probably not hit the collective Church consciousness for a while, even though us ministry types were all over it.
I used it as an object lesson in conjunction with Annanias and Sapphira in Bible study Sunday, and only one other person had heard about it.
Good set!
I dig the setlist
