sooo, this past weekend the Source venue pastor, john zerbe, announced that i am now the Source venue worship pastor… i’ve been doing the job for two or three weeks now, but the timing for the announcement had not been right… i felt somewhat akward, for whatever reason, as i was standing there… but it was pretty cool, because people actually cheered and clapped when he made the announcement… no joke… i can’t say that i was expecting that at all!!! but it was a huge encouragement to me…

i’m seeking God’s wisdom and guidance as i dive in and do the scheduling and more so as i pick out the worship sets and arrange things… i have to say it’s pretty cool to get back at it and do what it is that God has given me the ability and passion to do… even though we’ve had some set backs each week, God has shown up in the services and He’s been working…

for instance… this past week we ran through the first two tunes and things were going pretty smooth in rehearsal… we had two guys joining us from the usual saturday night band but things were coming together… then i get to this new song that i had been planning to teach to the congregation… problem was the band never got the music, nor the charts for the song… UH OH!!! but God gave me complete peace about it all… the tech team brought up the song on youtube and we listened to it… ONCE… then we just ran through the song twice on our own…

we lead worship for the junior high and went in for our tech meeting… we came back out and ran through the rest of the set and returned to that new song… the one that i was teaching the congregation and THE BAND!!! i couldn’t get the lyrics to save my life, but the song itself was pretty strong after two more run throughs… however it was time to stop rehearsing…

i would say that God showed up BIG for me on sunday!!! the band pulled off the song… and in my opinion did a great job… God even helped me pull off the lyrics… and at the end of the service we had a great ministry time thanking God for Who He is and what all He does for us… i was able to truly focus on God and give him everything i had…

sooo… you’ll have to check out the Source website… be patient though, it’s up and running, not finished by any means… i guess it’s hard to work on a website when you have two or three jobs and a family at home??? and if you get the chance, you’ll have to check out the service!!! sunday mornings at 10:45am in the axis, on the campus of lima community church…

it’s official…it’s crazy!!!
