the fuel of excitement…

sooo, i’ve now worked my first official week of my new “part-time” job… as i expected the 10 hours was gone with in the first three days of the week and blogging has obviously taken a back seat… but the thing that has stuck out is the excitement of it… there always seems to be excitement in something new… a new child… a new macbook… a new car… a new restaurant… you name it, when there is something new it is always surrounded with excitement…!

this new job would definitely fall in line with this… it’s been exciting for me to schedule people and get things moving on the music side of it as well… it’s been exciting working with new people and just brainstorming about what the service could be like… should be like…?

this morning we met at 6:30am for breakfast and were talking things out… then we went through a conference center/student center that is being constructed from an old movie theater… WOW!!! it’s going to be awesome and has some HUGE potential, not just for the college that owns it, but for the city, and possibly for our church!!! i left there with plenty of excitement!!!

and i noticed that the excitement has given me fuel this week… to go longer on less sleep… to get things done quicker than i would normally… to press on in life and get some areas of life back in gear, that may have been neglected… OK so they WERE neglected…

so what’s been the fuel of excitement in your life???

or do you need some excitement…?

    Two things…

The fuel – the fact that my dad is on his way to remission from stage 4A squamous cancer – at least that is where we are heading right now.

The need – the ability to keep the faith living large in my life during challenging times.

@michael… i will be praying for continued healing and for the need… that is a tough one for me as well, but it’s the time when i have found the most growth!!!
