is it really…?

sooo, this morning i was on my way to work, sipping on the first 16oz. of coffee…and this sign just jumped out at me for some reason…it was a church sign with the the following statement…

Faith in Jesus is your passport to heaven!

is that what faith is??? is that what i should be concerned about, how to get to heaven??? what about how to live for God while i’m here on earth??? what about the whole Savior part and the price that was paid??? passport just sounds sooo cheap!!!

it just hasn’t set well with me all day…

your thoughts…?

is it really…?

Not a cool sign. For one passports cost like $15 and salvation is a free gift. Plus it’s not just faith or believing…the demons believe but they aren’t in the heavenly choir. It’s about repentance and trusting in Christ. I think many are concerned with that easy way to get there but are being decieved and don’t really know the truth. It’s alot more….SO much more I could say…oh well.

Tag lines are so interesting to me… especially when they are on a church sign trying to reach an audience that barely notices that they are there. I look at tag lines as just that… grab your attention… who knows maybe someone saw that and said – “yeah… I want to learn more… ” But as Jen said, there is more to it… but at least the door is open

Personally I think that a whole lot of our relationship with God has become so incidental. We are so use to God that He doesn’t have that big of an impact upon us. {Live – do – act – be – believe whatever you want, and oh, by the way – God better be there and take care of us. How dare Him allowing something like 911!} If you look at the world – what’s happening climatically, socially, economically, etc – you can see that we are in for some major changes in the decades ahead. Many years ago there was a famous message preached entitled “Payday Someday.” It’s coming. Of course, I’m a fanatic. pt
