so today i’m home, taking a sick day… molly started a cough saturday morning and it is to the point now where she has what i would call an “adult cough”. she’s just fussy, which isn’t like her at all! but even being sick and fussy, she’s still an easy baby! kasey and i are very spoiled!!!
on one hand it feels odd being at home and not being sick…especially when it’s 70 degrees outside and the sun is shining bright!!! i wish it was a vacation day and i could go golfing. but i’m setting here doing some reading and thought…everybody needs a sick day!
i’ve been able to get a few odds and ends done around the house…i’ve been able to relax…i’ve been able to spend a little extra time with God and listening for God’s voice…in fact right now there is a passion dvd in with molly snoozing, and i’m typing on my powerbook with a 20 lb cat next to it(who is snoozing, like always)…i’ve got my cup up coffee…the only thing that could be better were if kasey was home too!
i’m thankful for a day to renew my mind and my strength…i need to do this more often, without actually taking a day off from work…i’m thinking there was something to that whole Sabbath idea…! so not that it has to be an actual day off, but…
everybody needs a sick day…!
