sooooooooooooo, yesterday was a BIG day!!! we had two friends that welcomed new little ones into the world. one family is out in Colorado, and they had a baby girl named alena rae. then another couple here in lima had a little boy, fulton zacharias.
i have to say it brought back memories fo 11 SHORT months ago, when kasey and i were blessed with molly kay. i can still see us checking in and walking back to our room…i remember where everything in the room was…each monitor and computer…each cart that would later be put to use…i can remember going to lunch and shoveling in my food so i could get back…i remember all the excitement, fear, frustration, exhaustion…then the JOY!!!
that was what stuck out to me yesterday…i heard extreme JOY in the voices of two fathers…even though i couldn’t see them, i could see this HUGE smile on their faces…and i could relate…i know what that feels like…so does God!
i just can’t help but think of the JOY that God has each time someone receives new life through the sacrifice of His Son…i can almost see the smile on God’s face…the sun has nothing on how bright His smile is!!! i pray that this weekend in our services…in our journey community meetings…in our conversations, that someone receives new life and God gets to smile!!!
the Father’s JOY!!!
